Lyra breaks her brain day after day to earn the Tactician’s Talisman. This powerful artifact must always be bonded to a Tactician, lest liquid fire rain down onto her village. It is unfortunate, then, that Lyra is the last Tactical Inclinate left in her village, and she has no idea how to pass her Trial.
Fearing the impending conflagration more than the wrath of their Gods, Lyra swipes the Talisman and bonds it despite her failure. The liquid fire comes down anyway. As the holder of the Tactician’s Talisman, she must now take up the position of village leader and figure out how to bring an end to the blaze. If she fails this Trial, there will be no second attempt.
